Courses available

I teach a variety of courses throughout the year, ranging from week days/nights to weekends.I keep the places available to a minimum to ensure that all students receive the best possible instruction.If you would like to be amongst the first to know when they are advertised, sign up for priority notification via my Contact page.
All courses include use of all tools in my workshop. Most also include all materials to complete your project.
Courses are generally run over a few hours and vary in skill level, but the majority are suitable for the complete beginner. You will learn to cut glass and either use copper foil or traditional leadlight and take your finished piece home with you. I also offer a range of glass mosaic courses.
The Tiffany style lamp and Leadlight courses are a favourite. No previous experience necessary and you get to take home an amazing creation at the end of the course. These are usually spread over a period between 4 to 6 weeks (18 hours in total). They usually book out extremely quickly so get your name in quick if you want a place !
The very latest course is the 2 day Mosaic Birdbath workshop run over a weekend - all day Saturday and all day Sunday.
In addition I also have an open workshop which is held most Tuesday afternoons (1pm - 3pm) and evenings (6pm - 8pm) throughout the year. This workshop is for previous Groovy Glass students who have learned the basics and want a fully equipped workshop to use for ongoing projects. I offer help and advice and it is a chance to meet likeminded people. What better way to spend your Tuesday evenings !The cost is just $15 per hour but bookings are essential at least 24 hours in advance as spaces are limited.
Individual tutoring and mentoring is available upon request. Cost is $150 per hour (minimum 3 hours) and bookings are required.
